The PKK was founded in the 20th century, the most violent century in history. The ground on which the PKK was founded was the ground of two world wars, the era of constructed socialism and the Cold War era in the world. In this ground, there was a denial of the reality of the Kurds, a ban on freedoms, especially the ban on freedom of thought. Theoretically, programmatically, strategically and tactically, the reality of the constructed socialist system in that century had its impact on this emergence.

In the 1990s, due to the collapse of constructed socialism for internal reasons, the breaking of identity denial in the country, and the advancement of freedom of thought, the PKK began to lose its meaning and repeat itself a lot, and therefore, like others, it has reached the end of its life and needs to be resolved.

Kurdish-Turkish Relations:

In history and for more than a thousand years, the Turks and Kurds have always seen it necessary to remain in a voluntary alliance in order to preserve their existence and stand against the dominant powers. In the last two centuries of capitalist modernity, it has made breaking this alliance its goal, and the forces influenced by it, with their class foundations, have taken serving this goal as their basis. This process has accelerated with the definition of the Republic with a single hue.

The main task is to reorganize that historical relationship that has been broken today, with the spirit of brotherhood and unity and not neglecting trust. The need for a democratic society is indispensable. The PKK is the longest and most widespread rebel and violent movement in the history of the Republic. Due to the closure of the path of democratic politics, the PKK has grown stronger and gained support.

Different nation-states, federations, administrative self-administration, cultural methods, have become the result of extreme nationalism, and cannot be an answer to the sociology of historical society. Respect for identities, freedom of thought, democratic organization, and the establishment of an economic and political community for all components, can only be achieved through the existence of a democratic society and political arena.

The second hundred years of the Republic, only when it is colored with democracy, can it have guaranteed unity, survival and continuity. Away from democracy, there is no way to progress and establish order and will not be achieved, and democratic coordination is the basic approach. The language of the era of peace and democratic society must be developed in accordance with these facts.

The call made by Mr. Devlet Bahceli and the will shown by the President of the Republic, the positive approach and relationship of other parties, have produced this stage, and I also call for laying down arms at this stage and bear the historical responsibility for this call.

Just as any contemporary society and party did not cease to exist with pressure and coercion, you also held your congress with your will and made the decision, all groups must lay down arms, and the PKK must be dissolved. From here, I send greetings to all of you who believe in coexistence and listen to my call.
