Strongest cold wave will hit Iraq at the end of this year

Iraq and the entire region will witness a "strong" cold wave during the current winter season. The weather forecaster, Sadiq Attia, predicted, on Tuesday.

Attia said in a post on social networking sites "Facebook" today, "The strongest cold wave during the current winter season, which Iraq and the region will witness, is a very cold polar wave, which they waited for at the end of this year."

He pointed out that the decrease in temperatures below the general average includes all cities.

Attia continued by saying that snow will fall in the cities of the Kurdistan Region and may affect the regions of eastern Kirkuk, northern and western Nineveh.
